2006 will mark one hundred years of the Parliamentary Labour Party. Nationally, the Labour Party will be celebrating this landmark year with a series of events involving party members and the wider public. To this end Gordon Brown will be launching the Party's National campaign in August next year.
Labour Party members would therefore like to mark the significance of Fife, by compiling a history of the evolution of the Labour Party in the Kingdom over the last 100 years with a view to mounting an exhibition and producing a publication..
We would like to invite readers to be part of this centenary celebration. You may have in your attic or cupboard photographs, letters, minutes, election leaflets or other artefacts.
You can bring the story of the Labour Party over the last 100 years in Fife to life by donating, lending or allowing copies to be made of any items or documents you might have. Or simply share with us any experiences or knowledge you have of the Labour Party's local activities over the last century.
If you can help, not only will you earn the gratitude of the current Labour
Party, but you will also be contributing something of historical value to future
generations. To be part of this unprecedented recollection and recording of
the Labour Party's history in Fife please contact:
